48Ἀχσίοχος εἶπε : ἐπαινέσαι τοῖς Νεοπολίταις τοῖς ἀπὸ [Θράικες hος σιν ἀνδράσιν ἀγαθοῖς]
49ἔς τε τὲν στρατιὰν καὶ τὲμ πόλιν τὲν Ἀθεναίον καὶ hότ[ι ἐς Θάσον ἐστρατεύοντο χσυμπολιορ]‒

5Sibyrtiades war Sekretär; Chairimenes war Vorsteher; Glau-
6kippos war Archon; - -theos stellte den Antrag: zu belobigen die Neopoliten
7bei Thasos zuerst, [[weil sie, obwohl sie Kolonisten der Thasier sind]] und bela-
8gert wurden [[von ihnen]] und den Peloponnesiern, nicht willens waren,
9abzufallen von den Athenern, sondern sich gut verhalten haben gegenüber dem
10Heer und dem Volk der Athener und die Bünd-

29Thasos sollen jedes Jahr als Schuldner bei ihnen verzeichnet

31der Krieg dauert gegen die Thasier. Was jetzt geben die Neopoli-
32ten von Thrakien und was sie bereitwillig und aus freien Stücken gaben den
33Hellenotamiai, (beträgt) 5 Tal. 4800 dr.; und sie sind willig, nach Kräf-
34ten Gutes zu tun, und haben es selbst erklärt, in Wort und Tat für
35der Stadt der Athener, und für diese Wohltat, dass jetzt
36und in Zukunft seitens der Athener ihnen Dank sei
37als Männern, die Gutes tun, und ihnen Zutritt sei
38vor den Rat und das Volk gleich nach den sakralen Angelegenheiten, als
39Wohltätern der Athener; dass die Gesandten die Urkun-
40den darüber, was die Neopoliten gegeben haben, allesamt übergeben dem Sekre-
41tär des Rates, gesondert die (über die) jetzt gegebenen Beträge, gesondert die übri-
42gen; und dass der Sekretär des Rates diesen Beschluss, auf-
43gezeichnet auf eine steinerne Stele, aufstelle auf der (Akro)polis auf Kosten der
44Neopoliten; in Neapolis sollen sie selbst aufzeichnen und auf-
45stellen im Heiligtum der Parthenos auf einer steinernen Stele; dass man lade auch
46zum Festessen die Gesandtschaft in das Prytaneion auf morgen.

48Axiochos stellte den Antrag: Lob zu sagen den Neopoliten aus Thrakien als Männern, die sich gut verhalten
49haben gegenüber dem Heer und der Stadt der Athener, und weil sie gegen Thasos zu Felde zogen, um zusammen zu belagern
50mit den Athenern, und weil sie mit (ihnen) in der Seeschlacht siegten und zu Lande mit (ihnen) kämpften die ganze
51Zeit und auch sonst Gutes erweisen den Athenern; und dass für diese Verdienste Dank sei seitens der A-
52thener ihnen, so wie das Volk beschlossen hat. Und damit sie nicht irgendwelches Unrecht erleiden weder
53von Einzelnen noch von Behörden der Stadt, dass sich die Strategen, welche jeweils im Amt sind, allesamt ihrer anneh-
54men, wessen sie bedürfen, als auch die Archonten der Athener, die jeweils darauf sehen, wie ih-
55re Stadt die Neopoliten beschützt, und willig sind zu tun, was auch immer sie (= die Athener) ihnen auftragen;
56und dass sie (= die Neopoliten) jetzt bei dem Volk der Athener das finden werden, was ihnen gut scheint - - -. Betreffs
57der Erstlingsgabe für (Athena) Parthenos, welche bislang an die Göttin erfolgte, dass man vor dem Volk verhandle mit ih-
58nen. Bei dem früheren Beschluss soll der Sekretär des Rates verbessern und in ihm abändern
59statt „Kolonie der Thasier“, dass „sie gemeinsam mit den Athenern den Krieg führten.“ Und
60dass man - - - und P- - - und - - -ophantos belobige dafür, was sie in jetzt Gutes gesagt und
61getan haben für das Volk der Athener und weil sie willig sind, nach Kräften Gutes zu tun für das Heer
62und die Stadt in Zukunft so wie früher; dass man sie lade zum Festessen auf morgen.

48Axiochos proposed: to praise the Neapolitans from Thrace for being good men
49both to the army and the city of the Athenians and because [they campaigned against Thasos, besieging] it
50with the Athenians, and because, fighting together in a sea-battle, [they were victorious and fought as allies on land] for the
51whole time and because they do good to the Athenians in other ways, and [in return for] these things - - -
52they shall enjoy those things from the Athenians that have been voted by the People, and in order that they may not be wronged
53in any way either by an individual or by the collective of a city, both [all] the generals who are in office on each occasion are to take care of all
54their needs, and the Athenian officials who - - - on each occasion
55the city, maintaining (?) the enthusiasm of the Neapolitans to do whatever - - -
56and let them now obtain from the Athenian People whatever seems good - - - ; and
57concerning the first-fruits for the Parthenos[5] which were made until now for the goddess, the matter shall be [dealt with in relation to them?] in the Assembly;
58and in the earlier decree, the secretary of the Council is to make a correction, and write in it
59instead of “colony of the Thasians” that “they fought through the war together with the Athenians”;
60[and to praise?] both P- and -ophantos; praise them because they now say and do
61good on behalf of the Athenian People and because they are keen to do whatever good they can to the army
62and the city for the future just as in the past; and invite them to hospitality tomorrow.
