10men; dass einrichten die Selymbrianer ihre Ver-
11fassung autonom in der Art, die sie ken-
12nen; - - - geschuldet hat die Gemeinde der Se-
13lymbrianer oder eine Einzelperson von den Selymbrianern dem
14- - - oder falls jemandes Vermögen eingezogen
15wurde oder wenn einer der Gemeinde (etwas) geschuldet hat oder wenn einer rechtlos

24meinde oder Gemeinde gegen Privatperson,  oder wenn sonst eine ein-
25tritt, sollen sie beilegen untereinander: soweit sie aber im Streit
26bleiben, soll der Prozess sein auf der Grundlage der Symbolai. ‒ Dass den Ver-
27trag man aufzeichne auf einer Stele und aufstelle in das Heilig-
28tum des - - -. Den Eid geleistet haben von den Athenern die Strategen
29und die Trierarchen und die Hopliten und wer sonst
30von den Athenern anwesend war und die Selymbrianer al-
31lesamt.  Alkibiades stellte den Antrag: dass gemäß dem, was vereinbart haben die Se-
32lymbrianer mit den Athenern, demgemäß man handle,
33und dass aufstelle auf der (Akro)polis nach der Aufzeichnung die Stra-
34tegen den Vertrag zusammen mit dem Sekretär
35des Rats 〚- - -〛 auf einer steinernen Stele
36auf ihre Kosten und auch diesen Beschluss.
37Dass man Apollodoros S.d. Empedos belobigen und ihn ent-
38lasse aus dem Geiselstatus und dass auslösche die Na-
39men der Geiseln der Selymbrianer und ihrer Bür-
40gen morgen der Sekretär des Rates, wo immer
41sie aufgeschrieben sind, in Anwesenheit der Pryta-
42nen; dass man - -omachos aus Selymbria aufzeich-
43ne auf derselben Stele als proxenos der Athener;
44dass Apollodoros auch sein soll die Proxenie wie
45schon seinem Vater; dass man die Gesandten und Apol-
46lodoros lade ins Prytaneion zum Festessen auf

9give back the hostages whom they have, and in future shall not take
10any. The Selymbrians shall be [autonomous]
11and [shall establish] their constitution in whatever way they know.

26agree over, the lawsuits shall follow the conventions. The agreement
27shall be inscribed on a stele and placed in the sanctuary
28of - - -. There swore of the Athenians the generals
29and the trierarchs and the hoplites and any
30other Athenian who was present; and all the
31Selymbrians. ‒ Alkibiades proposed: the agreement made by the
32Selymbrians with the Athenians shall be acted on;
33and the generals shall inscribe the agreement and set it down
34on the acropolis together with the secretary of
35the Council [[words deleted]], on a stone stele
36at their own expense, and this decree;
37and to praise Apollodoros son of Empedos and
38release him from his position as hostage; and the names of the
39Selymbrian hostages and their guarantors shall be
40deleted tomorrow by the secretary of the Council wherever
41they have been written up, in the presence of the prytany;
42and to inscribe - -machos the Selymbrian
43on the same stele as a proxenos of the Athenians;
44and Apollodoros also shall have the position of proxenos
45as his father did; and to invite the envoys
46and Apollodoros to the city hall for hospitality
47tomorrow.
