I
3Beschuss von Rat und Volk; die Kekropis hatte die
4Prytanie inne; Polemarchos war Sekretär; Onasos
5war Vorsteher; Kleonymos stellte den Antrag: Alle Städte, die Tribut
6entrichten den Athenern, sollen wählen in jeder
7Stadt Tributeinzieher, damit von überall
8den Athenern der ganze Tribut eingetrieben wird, andernfalls sollen ver-
9antwortlich sein die Einzieher - - -

11- - - dass für die Hellenotamiai dringend eine Volksversammlung abhalte
12bezüglich der Städte die Prytanie, die
13amtiert, binnen zwanzig Tagen nach den Dionysi-
14en. Der Allgemeinheit sollen bekanntgegeben werden die Städte, die
15den Tribut bezahlt haben, und die ihn nicht be-
16zahlt haben und die ihn nur teilweise; dass man zu den (ihn) Schul-
17denden fünf Männer schicke, damit sie einzie-
18hen den Tribut. Aufschreiben sollen die Hellenota-
19miai auf einer Holztafel die Städte, die im Rückstand sind mit dem Tri-
20but, sowie die Namen derjenigen, die (ihn) überbringen, und (die Tafel) aufstellen
21jeweils vor den (Phylen-)Heroen. Es soll für die Sa-
22mier und Theraier ein ähnlicher Beschluss sein über
23die Gelder und darüber, wie zu verfahren sei, mit Ausnahme der Wahl
24der Männer, und sofern sonst noch eine Stadt veranlagt wurde zur
25Anführung der Gelder nach Athen. Diesen Beschluss soll auf einer Ste-
26le die Prytanie Kekropis aufstellen auf der (Akro)polis.
27P- - -kritos stellte den Antrag: das andere, wie von Kleonmymos (beantragt
28hat), aber: damit aufs Beste und Leichteste durchstehen die Athe-
29ner den Krieg, dass man eine Beschlussvorlage vor das Volk bringe,
30wenn sie die Volksversammlung einberufen auf morgen.

39lich wähle für die anderen Gerichtsverfahren bezüglich der
40Gelder der Athener gemäß dem ergangenen Beschluss,
41und von den Strategen einen einsetze als Beisitzer,
42wenn wegen einer der Städte prozessiert wird.
43Wenn jemand arglistig versucht, dass außer Kraft gesetzt werde
44dieser Beschluss über den Tribut, oder dass nicht entrichtet
45werde der Tribut nach Athen, soll ihn anklagen wegen Hochverrats
46jederman aus dieser Stadt, der es wünscht,
47bei den Verantwortlichen. Die Verantwortlichen dies
48binnen Monatsfrist vor den Gerichtshof bringen, wenn die
49Ladungsboten eingetroffen sind. Doppelt so viele Ladungsboten sollen sein
50wie diejenigen, gegen die jemand klagen will. Wenn gegen jemand
51schuldig gesprochen wurde, soll das Gericht festsetzen, was er soll an
52Strafe leiden oder Buße zahlen. Die Herolde, soviele ihrer
53auch sind, die die Prytanen zusammen mit dem Rat ge-
54wählt haben, soll man in die Städte entsenden unter der Prytanie der
55Kekropis, damit gewählt werden können die Männer,
56die den Tribut einziehen, und mandie aufzeichnen in dem
57Prytaneion. Die Stele sollen die Poleten

6tribute to the Athenians shall choose in each
7city [collectors of tribute], so that from each city the [tribute] - - -

26shall place this decree on a stele on the acropolis.

28Kleonymos, but so that the Athenians may wage the war
29optimally and most easily, they shall bring a proposal before the
30People, holding an Assembly in the morning.
