1Zu Glück und Heil! Folgende Regelungen haben die für das
2Priestertum des Hermes Enagonios gewählten Männer: Hipparchos
3S.d. Nikolochos, Androsthenes S.d. Althaimenes, Charidamos S.d. Dio-
4phantos, getroffen: Der Käufer des Priestertums des Hermes Ena-
5gonios soll gesund und unversehrt sein und auf Lebenszeit amtieren. Der
6Käufer des Priestertums soll befreit sein von: Wehrdienst außerhalb der
7Grenzen, Futterkosten für Reiterei, Trierarchie, Choregien, Lampadarchie
8und allen übrigen Liturgien. Er darf auch Trankopfer darbringen bei
9den Spielen, und auf dem Ehrenplatz sitzen wie auch die anderen
10Priester. Der Priester soll auch für alle Opfernden die Opfertiere
11auf dem Altar auflegen; als Ehrengaben soll er von den Tieren, die dem
12Hermes Enagonios geopfert werden, Haut und Schenkel nehmen. Der nach
13Menoitios amtierende monarchos und die Tempelpfleger und die jeweils
14im Amt folgenden, sollen von dem Geld, das ihnen für die monatlichen
15Opfer zugewiesen wurde, opfern in allen übrigen
16Monaten am vierten, im Hyakinthios am zweiten
17und im Alseios am zehnten, jeden Monat ein männliches
18Schaf im Wert von nicht weniger als 30 Drachmen. Der Priester darf bei
19jedem Opfer, das er dem Hermes opfert, wo monarchos und Tempelpfleger
20(dabei sind), im Festzug aufziehen. Der Festspielleiter soll, wie
21auch schon bisher, bei den drei ersten Vorläufen des Einzel-Fackellaufs, am zehnten,
22sechzehnten, zwanzigsten Dalios, bei jedem Vorlauf opfern ein ausgewachsenes
23Opfertier im Wert von nicht weniger als den im Gesetz vorgeschriebenen

35der im Gesetz bestimmten Siegesprämie dem Hermes opfern für jeden
36der beiden Siege am folgenden Tag nach dem Fackellauf ein ausgewachsenes

38amtierende Gymnasiarch und die anderen jeweils im Amt folgenden
39sollen von dem Geld, das ihnen für die Ausrichtung der Bogen- und
40der Speerwettkämpfe gegeben wurde, opfern im Wintersemester
41im Theudaisios, Kaphisios, Gerastios, im Sommersemester im Agrianios, Pana-
42mos, Alseios, in jedem Monat ein Opfertier im Wert von nicht weniger
43als 25 Drachmen. Opfern sollen sie auch von dem Geld, das ihnen für die
44Schul-Agone im Artamitios und im Agrianios gegeben wurde, in jedem der beiden Monate
45ein Opfertier im Wert von nicht weniger als 50 Drachmen. Opfern sollen
46sie auch am zehnten des Monats Alseios, wie auch bisher, ein Opfertier im Wert
47von nicht weniger als den im Gesetz vorgeschriebenen 60 Drachmen. Der nach
48dem monarchos Menoitios amtierende paidonomos und die jeweils im Amt fol-
49genden sollen am zweiten des Monats Hyakinthios dem Hermes opfern
50ein ausgewachsenes Opfertier von 60 Drachmen; die Schatzmeister sollen
51ihnen die festgesetzte (Summe) geben. Im Monat Hyakinthios, am zweiten,
52nach der Beendigung des Langlaufes soll der Fackellauf der Knaben statt-
53finden, bevor die Festzüge losgeschickt werden. Der Paidonomos
54soll zusammen mit dem Priester des Hermes und dem Festspielleiter aus
55den in den Palaistren versammelten Knaben (die Teilnehmer) auswählen,
56in derselben Anzahl, die auch für die (Fackel)Läufer am zehnten Alseios im
57Gesetz vorgeschrieben ist. Wenn sie sich zum Lauf anschicken, sollen sie
58gesalbt werden mit dem Öl, das vom Gymnasiarchen ausgestellt wurde. Von
59dem Opfertier, das der Paidonomos am zweiten Hyakinthios dem
60Hermes opfert, soll das übrige Fleisch an die Teilnehmer am Fackellauf
61verteilt werden, den linken Schenkel aber soll er als Preis geben dem Sieger
62des Einzellaufes. Falls es Knaben gibt, die zum Endausscheid im Einzel-Fackellauf
63antreten wollen, soll unter ihnen ein Entscheidungslauf stattfinden entsprechend dem, was übr
64die Teilnehmer des Endausscheides am vierten Alseios im Gesetz geschrieben ist.
65Der Paidonomos soll am zehnten Alseios beim (Mannschafts)Fackellauf opfern
66ein Opfertier dem Hermes, wie es im Gesetz vorgeschrieben ist, im Wert von
67nicht weniger als 30 Drachmen. In derselben Weise soll er auch das andere
68Opfertier opfern, das im Gesetz vorgeschrieben ist. Einen Siegpreis soll man
69den Siegern von dem dafür festgesetzten Geld geben (in Höhe von) 30 Drachmen. Die
70Generäle sollen von dem Geld, das ihnen für die Ausrichtung der
71Katapult-Wurfwettbewerbe gegeben wurde, dem Hermes
