1Opfern sollen auch die, die Hochzeiten in dem Heiligtum veranstalten,
2ein ausgewachsenes Opfertier von 30 Dr. Opfern soll auch
3von den anderen jeder, der will, ein Opfertier, welches Brauch ist, an den Tagen,
4an denen zu opfern erlaubt ist. Der Priester soll bei den
5Opfern, die das Volk am 20. des Monats Petageitnyos
6veranstaltet, an der Prozession teilnehmen zusammen mit
7dem monarchos und den hieropoioi und denjenigen,
8die in den Kranz-Wettkämpfen gesiegt haben, und dabei ein
9purpurfarbenes Gewand und goldene Ringe und einen
10Kranz von Ölzweigen tragen. Dieselbe Kleidung soll er
11in dem Heiligtum tragen und bei allen anderen Opfern,
12lebenslang aber ein weißes Gewand, und er soll sich rein halten
13von allem, wovon sich reinzuhalten auch den anderen Priestern
14vorgeschrieben ist. Von den Opfertieren soll er als Ehrengaben nehmen:
15von Rind oder Schaf Haut und Schenkel, von den anderen
16Schenkel. Die Opfernden sollen auf die
17Opfertische auflegen von den Opfern für die Göttin; sie sollen
18auch in den Opferstock werfen von den Rinder-
19opfern für jedes 1 Dr., von den anderen (für jedes) 3(?) Ob. Davon
20soll die eine Hälfte der Nike sein, die andere
21Hälfte dem Priester. Öffnen aber sollen den
22Opferstock die Vorsteher zusammen mit dem Priester jährlich
232 Mal; die entstandenen Kosten für die Öffnung
24sollen sie von dem nehmen, was (im Opferstock) gefunden wird. Damit aber
25auch die Prozession für die Göttin noch glänzender veranstaltet
26werde, sollen die vom Volk gewählten
27Kitharaspieler die Knaben anführen, die das Trankopfer(-Lied)
28auf der Kithara spielen, so wie dies auch bei den anderen
29Prozessionen geschieht, sie selbst aber auf der Kithara die Lieder spielen

1also those who perform weddings in the temple are
2to sacrifice an adult victim worth 30 dr.; and anyone else
3who wishes is to sacrifice a victim that is lawful on
4the days on which it is sanctioned to sacrifice; the priest at the
5rites conducted by the people on the 20the of the month Petageitnyos
6is to join in the procession together with the
7monarchos and the hieropoioi and the winners
8of the crowned games, wearing both a purple
9chiton and gold rings and an
10olive crown; he is to wear the same clothing
11in the temple and at all the other sacrifices,
12but in (daily) life he is to wear white and is to be pure
13as regards those things as to which other priests are required
14to be pure; as perquisites from sacrificial victims he is to receive:
15from bovine or sheep, skin and a leg, from
16the rest a leg; those sacrificing are to set out
17on the table of the victims for the goddess, and also deposit
18in the treasury: of bovine
19victims 1 dr. in behalf of each, of the others 3(?) ob.; of this
20half is to belong to Nike and
21half to the priest; the treasury is to be opened
22by the prostatai  together with the priest 2 times
23per year; the incurred cost of the opening
24is to be paid from the arrived-at price; so that
25the procession for the goddess may be celebrated with more distinction,
26the cithara-players chosen by the people
27are to lead the boys who play
28the libation-song, as they do at the other
29processions, themselves also playing the songs
