1Unter dem monarchos Charmidas, im Monat Alseios, am ersten.
2Folgendes haben verfasst die gewählten Mitglieder der Kommission
3für das Priestertum des Dionysos Thyllophoros,
4Aristos S.d. Aristoboulos, Pamphilos S.d. Kleandros:
5Zu Glück und Heil! Die Poleten sollen das Priestertum
6des Dionysos Thyllophoros verkaufen im Monat Karnei-
7os. Die Käuferin soll gesund sein und unversehrt und nicht
8jünger als zwölf Jahre. Sie soll lebenslang Priesterin sein. Sie
9soll den erzielten (Kaufpreis) in drei Raten abzahlen, die
10erste im Monat Karneios unter Charmidas, die zwei-
11te im Monat Gerastios nach dem monarchos Charmidas,
12die dritte im Monat Alseios unter demselben monarchos.
13Wenn sie aber nicht die Raten abzahlt in der
14vorgeschriebenen Zeit, sollen sie die Schatzmeister anzeigen
15bei den Eintreibern, um das Doppelte einzutreiben. Die Stadt
16soll die Priesterin weihen. Die Kosten für die Weihe sollen
17die Schatzmeister erstatten. Dass die Priesterin geweiht werde gemäß
18den Gesetzen, das sollen die Poleten verdingen. Es sei der Priesterin
19erlaubt, eine Unterpriesterin zu bestimmen, aber nur eine Bürgerin. Einer anderen sei
20nicht erlaubt, Priesteramt und Kult dem Dionysos Thyllophoros auszuüben, außer jener,
21die die Priesterin bestimmt hat in jedem Demos. Wenn eine hiergegen
22Priesteramt und Kult verrichtet, sei es erlaubt dem Vormund der Priesterin und
23der von der Priesterin bestimmten (Unterpriesterin) oder jedem anderen,
24der will, vor dem Rat anzuzeigen diejenige, die Priesteramt und Kult ausübt,
25als Frevlerin an der Stadt. Welche aber nach dem Urteil der Stadt
26Priesteramt und Kult unrechtmäßig ausübt, die soll als Strafgeld zahlen
27- - - Drachmen; das soll sein zur Hälfte dem, der die Anzeige

30soll die Priesterin alles darreichen. Von den für Dionysos
31Thyllophoros geopferten Tieren soll die Opfernde der
32Priesterin als Ehrengaben geben: von Schafen und ausgewachsenen Opfertieren:
33Schenkel und Haut und einen Triobolos; von Jährlingen: Kopf
34und Füße und Haut und eine Obole; vom Schwein: Schenkel und
35einen Triobolos; vom Ferkel: Kopf und Füße und eine Obole;
36vom Rind: Schenkel und Haut und eine Drachme. Von dem, was eine
37zusätzlich auf den Opfertisch für den Gott legt, soll die Hälfte
38der Priesterin sein. Wer die Ehrengaben nicht abgibt, wie vorgeschrieben,
39derjenigen soll das Opfer als nicht geopfert gelten. Allen soll das Opfer
40auf den Altar legen die Priesterin oder Unterpriesterin, die die Priesterin bestimmt hat. Die
41Poleten sollen verdingen, dass dieses Reglement aufgeschrieben wird
42auf eine steinerne Stele und aufgestellt im Tempel der
43Zwölfgötter. Die für die Weihe angefallenen Aufwendungen
44und (die Kosten) für die Stele und die Aufzeichnung des Reglements
45soll die Käuferin des Priestertums den Schatzmeistern zusammen mit dem
46anderen Kosten bezahlen.
47Panamyas S.d. Theudotos stellte den Antrag: Das Übrige wie in dem Reglement
48(festgelegt); aber damit das Heiligtum des Antigonos eine Restaurierung
49und Pflege erfahre, soll die Käuferin des Priestertums
50des Dionysos Thyllophoros in ihre Rechnung setzen
51zugunsten der Vorsteher - - - pro Jahr
52für die Restaurierung und Pflege einhundert Drachmen.

1Under monarchos Charmidas in the month Alseios on the first,
2the following was drawn up by the men elected concerning
3the priesterthood of Dionysos Thyllophoros,
4Aristos son of Aristoboulos, Pamphilos son of Kleandros:
5For good fortune: the poletai are to sell the priest-
6hood of Dionysos Thyllophoros in the month Karneios;
7the buyer is to be healthy and undamaged and not
8younger than twelve years; she is to be priestess for life; she
9will make three deposits toward the sum, the
10first in the month Karneios under Charmidas, the second
11in the month Gerastios after monarchos Charmidas,
12the third in the month Alseios under that same monarchos;
13if she should not set down the deposit at the time
14prescribed, the treasurers are to list her
15with the collection agents to collect double; the city
16is to inaugurate the priestess, and the expense for the inauguration is
17to be paid by the treasurers; so that the priestess is inaugurated in keeping with
18the laws, the poletai are to see to the contract; the priestess is to be permitted
19to appoint as assistant one (female) citizen; it is not to be permitted for another to serve as priestess
20or initiate to Dionysos Thyllophoros other than whom the
21priestess appoints in each deme; if anyone contrary to these things
22acts as priestess or initiates, it is to be permitted to the guardian of the priestess and
23of those appointed by the priestess or of others who so wish
24to denounce to the council the one acting as priestess or initiating,
25as wronging the city; she whom the city may convict as guilty
26of initiating or acting as priestess is to pay as a penalty

36from a bovine, leg and skin and a drachma; of whatever
37someone sets out on the table for the god, half is to be
